ProBOBility
Hello. It's me again with my bob. So I think that this unit is a pretty straightforward unit. The situations and concepts are easy to understand and the content in the exercises is pretty straight forward. The only problem that I have is that the tricky questions that Mr. K gives us that throws us off. Hahaha. Very Tricky. But at least I get the unit. Haha. So Hope for the best, and everyone do good on the test. Good luck, so long, have fun studying. Cause I am. Haha.

Congratulations!!
Well.. since our homeroom does contain 3 out of 4 candidates for the school elections this year... I think this blog deserves this post.
Congratulations to Richard who is next years wonderful President!
and... Congratulations to Vincent who is next years wonderful Vice-President!
You guys worked hard and you both deserve your positions on the executive council. I'm definitely looking forward to next year with you two. (:
So again, congratulations to the both of you. =)

BOBING before the Election
Wow... This week has been so hectic. Haha Well this unit was ok. I understand most of the unit in general. The only problems that I have with the conics unit is the problem solving questions. Maybe that's because I don't have a proper understanding of the unit becuase of everything that has been going on. I am un sure about the test but it's alright. I wonder if there is any repremend for today and this bob. Hah. So I'm off to study again.. Good luck on the test and have a great DAY.

BOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOB
Well this unit was really cool. For me it was really easy. Hahaha.. Except for the problems with poker and some of the choose probems and.. Some problems that sort of confused me the days I were not here. otherwise its really ok. I can't wait for the test tomarrow. Hahaha.. Now to finish MY DEV. Ok. Bye Bye.

Fight Night BOB 4
Hi Again... I'm Bobbing again... So Anyways... This unit was simple yet hard at the same time. I'm actually very serious about it. I got most of the easy stuff... AKA A LOGARITHM IS AN EXPONENT!!! Which was easy... Graphing was simple... b/c of previous units and my handy calculator... Yet the only thing that really bugged me was those exponential decay questions... I admit... that I was lost during those questions because I missed one class on them... I just have to work harder on them... =) So everyone good luck on the test and commit one random act of kindness before the test and you will have better luck!!!! ha ha ha ha... YackPack This!!! And hope for the best of luck on the test tomarow again!!! hahaha.

THINGAMABOB
Ahhh.. I nearly forgot to BOB. Hahaha. So anyways.. This unit was really awsome. What really surprised me was the different concepts asserted at different times. I thought this unit was basically a review of what we had previously learned in the distant past. For instance.. The left side of an equation has to equal the right side of the equation. That was pretty easy. And then there was a whole lot of different concepts and a long proof.. Oh great... Not fun.. Hahaha. So anyway... This unit was not that hard. There are some trouble with the identities that I can suffice but they are easily submissable within a few different areas of time and allot of practice itself. The only trouble I would of had is the memorization of the identities, but that was solved with us getting an identity sheet. Well at least I wont have to dance again.. Hahaha.. But dancing is fun anyways.. hahaha. What am I saying.. Oh yeah.. Well as per always Everyone Study Hard. Cause I am. hahaha And Have a GREAT DAY TOMORROW.. AND Excellent Luck on the test. Hahaha. I always wanted to blog this... Hahahaha.

New Cycle... Done Unit... Proof???
Hello Everyone. I'm the scribe tonight. (Sorry It's So late...)
Well today was a very interesting day.
The Morning Class =)
AKA. The Land of Proofs.
At first we talked about the Developing Expert Voices Rubric. The rubric in fact is a representation of our goals and beliefs on what should be done in the project. This proving that if we work the rubric correctly… We could easily get a higher degree of a mark. Well that’s what I think anyways… Hahaha
Afterwards we were asked to solve the question;
Hahaha.. Graeme, stepped up to the plate and solved it.
Afterwards we all asked for an explanation.. hahaha… It’s so cool and funny when we do that…
Well anyways… Afterwards Mr. K directly showed us the AWESOME proof of the sin and cosine identities. Wow… It’s SO INTERESTING!!!!!!(very sarcastic…)
The most interesting part about it is how it incorporates the sine and cosine function with the unit circle. The most interesting thing about it (well for me at least) is how it uses functions that we have learned in past grades like the distance formula (Grade 10) to utilise the proof to the best extent.

You know.. I think that these are most likely going into our dictionary…
AFTERNOON CLASS
AKA. In The End...
Well we spent the afternoon... With some shocking events… Unfolded with a truthful and insane amount of work related activities…
To start off Mr. K gives us another Question to solve…
To explain this in thoroughly… the problem required is more of an inverse of what we learned. Instead of utilizing the concept of solving the more complex equation, we inverse and solve the simpler equation. Thus attributing the goals and responsibilities to the sine and cosine difference identities. After creating another attribute to simply the equation. We multiply the equation with the attribute simply and prove that one side of the equation is equivalent to the other side of the equation.

Afterwards Mr. K gave us the question
To solve this we had to realise that the question was actually equivilant to this (Well Danny realized it)

Afterwards (well before actually) we solved the equation and came up with this answer.
Afterwards we did this with cosine which lead to a multitude of answers.
This stating that we can use cos(2θ) to solve a multitude of questions.
Note: Mr. K is picking who’s going to the smart board to write answers now… So be prepared and warned…
Afterwards we did this question which was a review of the previous question at the beginning of the afternoon class.

Surprisingly enough… With this we finished the unit on Identities… We then did some practice questions and…
Quiz Tomorrow..
Pre-Test Monday...
Test-Tuesday.
New Unit Wednesday…
Flickr Assignment #1 due after Spring Break..
Homework is Exercise the NEXT
Be sure to get your BOBS up… Again..
And… The Next Scirbe is… BERTMAN!!!

Dodge BOB Mania
Wow.. This unit was a very interesting unit. It was thorough in the sense that I feel that I already learnt most of this unit from previous years of mathematics. So anyways.. These classes were really indifferent. The class was progressing at an astounding rate of mathematical learning and contributions. All because of the smart board. This has shown that our class is getting smarter because of the smart board every day. I feel that I have achieved a different level of understanding due to all of the technologies involved within the class.
The transformations unit for me was just another understanding of another unit. The unit in general is jammed pack with operations that I understand and can actually remember in this class. The unit in general is split up into a few different sections of graphing mathematically and periodically. From graphing equations to finding equations. Mr. K has jam packed this unit like a review for me and the class has contributed to my learning in general.
The classes’ scribes have attributed to my learning in this unit very thoroughly. The scribes have shown that there has been a steady progression of new technologies from flickr to slideshare. This has shown that our class has given a thought into how we learn in the class and there seems a wanting on us students teaching the class ourselves online. This is really cool, because not only do we learn but can also teach other generations. For example EDDIE who is an awesome grade 5 student reading at a grade 10 level.
What's confusing me the most in the unit is graphing, however graphing is more or less a nutshell of review of knowledge that has to be un hurdled but can not due to the absence of our less prominent technologies like the Math Dictionary which some classmates (including me) have been waiting forever to figure out what comes next into the math dictionary in order to install new terms and attributes to our mathematical lives.
That's all I got to say about that. GOOD LUCK ON THE TEST GUYS!!! AND HAVE FUN!!!

BOB-A-THON
Wow... The bob. The blog before the test... *gulp... Ah test. It's been that long already.. Ahh... This class has been getting faster and faster by the day. Hahaha. And it's all thanks to Mr. K. Awesome. Hahaha. Ohhh Can't Wait. I'm so scared.. Hahaha. Well anyways. The highlight of the class right now is the Smart Board. And how it has incorporated our learning to a whole different level. We can learn and read the blog at the same time... Oh wait were already doing that.. Hahaha. But seriously, the smart board has turned the class upside down and right side up. It has taken this course into a whole new mode of learning with a lot of interacting.
For the class so far I say that I'm doing alright. Minus the Homework blunders and the super secret surprise quizzes that are being put out. I'll say that Math for me is still on the bright side. Haha. Yet I still get confsed sometimes on the most basic question with concepts that I should of learned a long time ago. Ha Ha Ha.
Something cool in the class is of course the SMART BOARD. Ahh read the paragraph above if you don't really understand it.. It can really incorporate learning to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL. A moment of clarity... woo had to be ... DABC. Haha. It really helps on creating sin/cos graphs. It gives important options and makes graphing easier in more ways than 1. In the real world.. PIE is everywhere. Hahaha. MmmMmm cherry Pie. Hahaha Well anyways. Haha
Well Good luck on the test tomorrow everybody. Studying anyone??

Legendary Bloggers: Scribers Unite.
Wow... Blogger... It's been so long...
I remember the last time I blogged...
Well anyways... I am the first Scribe. YEAH I'M THE FIRST SCRIBE!!!
MORNING CLASS
Well ok... First of all It's like 9:00 in the morning and I show up to Mr. K's class thinking... OMG. What the he double hockey sticks am I doing here...
... Without a calculator. Furthermore. I'm in Mr. K's Class again... So ok. First thing we did in the long morning was wait for Mr. K. Ha Ha Ha. Surprisingly enough. He comes in with a shiny new projector and a surprisingly new course outline. I'm like ohhh... great.

(Right click and View Image to view)
So he goes through the outline talking about the most important points and telling some great stories along the way. Then he talks about the math dictionary. Or I talked about it. And Vincent. Ha Ha Ha Well he reminds us to bring a math dictionary. Namely a Hilroy one which you can get for as little as 49 cents a notebook plus tax at your local Staples. Ha Ha Ha.
Next thing you know he gives us the number 6 and tells us to Look for the factors of 6 with by the way is 1, 2, 3, and 6. In which he gives us the soul purpose of the math dictionary which is that it is a place where we write down our notes in order to remember how to do work that we learned in class when we do our homework. This is because of the learning curve.
The learning curve is the... I'll just show you.

Then he goes through the blog, and the shocking video (shown down below) and the bell rings and life goes on... ...until the afternoon.
AFTERNOON CLASS
Well after a hard day of shocking drama and forgoing classes which I can not comprehend... We come to the final period of the day aka. The afternoon class. Which by the way is every other day. Yeah....
Well we come in and OMG he's PODCASTING US... Shocked. Ok. Back down to business.. He goes and writes some questions on the board.

While were doing answering these questions he showed talked about the legendary
SISYPHUS
After that he gave us the answers

Afterwards he asked the question: Is Sisyphus was a Victim, Villain or Hero? You can answer that in the comments. Ha ha ha. Personally I think he was a Victim of his own self for what he done and what he was punished to do.
Mr K also mentioned Mentors were coming out to help us. One from Ohio and one from Michigan.
He then asked us a question: Why are there 360º in a circle?
There are two possible reasons. One is the Ancient Sumerians caused it so because of how they set up the clock system with the number 60 or Mr. K's way of thinking that the factors of 360 are... Er.. Ahh too many factors.
Well to get straight to the point... Welcome to our unit of Circular Functions. Today we are learning about converting Degrees into Radians.
Hint: The circumference of a circle = 2pieR regardless of the radians of of the circle.
He also gives us a weird geometry set story... based on the geometry triangles whitch in fact results in... he didn't fininsh the story yet... Sadness... Well anyways, in theses triangles are angles. The angles 30, 45, 60, and 90 are the most important angles. This it because it turns our degree/radian circle into this...

He gives us questions of Radian/Degree converting and calls it a day.

Reminders
Homework Exercise 1 (plus the stuff he just posted on exercise 1)
Give exact values by leaving the answers in Fractions. YOU WILL LOSE .5 to 1 mark because of this.
Bring your math dictionary TO CLASS.
Bring coloured Pencils TO CLASS
Have 12 pencils... Bring 2 TO CLASS - lol
Don't be late for tomorrows morning class
and... DO YOUR HOMEWORK.
THE NEXT SCRIBE ISVincent... J/K Grey-M AKA Graeme (cause he asked first...) Hahaha. Sorry Vincent...
