ex 10

hello...so today in class we learned how to graph inverse functions...in class it seemed easy when Mr. K went over it ....but as I was trying to do exercise ten I realized I was lost....and I was wondering if we could go over a couple questions from exercise ten...I don't know if I'm the only one...but anyone feel free to comment on this..thanks

haha.. That's true. It's not easy to get something that was taught for less than half an hour. I hope it was recorded because jsut looking at them doesnt explain anything. I only remember the 'biggering' and 'smallering' thingy.

Nevermind. I get it now. The value substituted for x to make the denominator 0 is the vertical asymtote while the value after the reciprocal is the horizontal asymtote. Basically, you just have to draw curve lines that will never touch the vertical / horizontal asymtotes. I don't know too much detail but that's how I see it.

Rats! I should have recorded it. I've learned my lesson. ;-)

And, yes, we'll start off tomorrow with several examples.

Good, because I got the feeling that I kind-of get it but it's not concrete. Examples would be mighty helpful.
